Roman Forum
Designed by the architect Vitruvius, built 2,000 years ago and surrounded by ancient ruins of several important ancient government buildings, the Roman Forum is found at the center of the city of Rome. Made from mainly concrete and stone, the forum was used for elections, public speeches, criminal trials, gladiatorial events and even prostitution. Statues have been built to represent and commemorate the city's great men.
The forum has been appointed the most celebrated meeting place in the world, or even history. It is now a popular touritst site and hundreds and even thousands of people visit is every day.
