Aqua Virgo
Aqua Virgo is a large aqueduct in the city of Rome. An aqueduct is a large bridge that was built from concrete to carry water from one place to another. They are strategically built on a slant to make sure that there is a continuous flow of water to the city it is providing for. The Aqua Virgo was finished in 19 BC by Marcus Agrippa during the rein of Augustus Claudius, one of Rome's many emperors. Sadly Aqua Virgo fell out of use with the rise of the Roman Empire. After its period of time without use, the Aqua Virgo was finally repaired by Pope Adrien I.
The aqueduct reaches lengths of over 20 kilometers but only drops about four meters in total to get the water down to the city, it was capable of supplying over 100,00 cubic meters of water everyday.
